The Body of Work & Moonstar Lite Prim marks our first collaboration with the iconic Japanese footwear brand and our first-ever women’s shoe. The Lite Prim draws from the details of a classic Mary Jane, offering the comfort of a canvas sneaker. Each pair is handcrafted in Kurume by artisans featuring vulcanized hand applied outsoles, a time-honoured skill of traditional shoe making.

In celebration of our first women's footwear collaboration, each pair of Lite Prim shoes includes a matching Dahlia Scrunchie.

Available in the colours Basalt and Morel from our signature palette of muted tones, the Lite Prim is a classic silhouette envisioned through a sportswear lens. The upper material, a durable, neppy 100% cotton is woven in Japan. On the surface, visible flecks adorn the exterior creating a texture reminiscent of raw silk. The Lite Prim features tonal piping and stitching along with canvas insoles branded with the Body of Work and Moonstar logos and a vulcanized rubber outsole.

Handcrafted in Kurume, Japan, a city in the Fukuoka prefecture, Moonstar has pioneered the craft of fine vulcanized footwear dating back over 150 years. Today, their legacy of kiln-fired vulcanized rubber shoes is demonstrated through their superior standard for excellence in footwear craftsmanship.
